Translator
Spent decades in China studying under Master Lao Nai-hsüan. His translation with Cary Baynes remains the gold standard a century later. He brought the I Ching to the West as a serious intellectual system, not a curiosity.

Wrote the foreword to Wilhelm's translation. Developed the concept of synchronicity partly through his work with the I Ching. Used it clinically for thirty years. Called it a method for surfacing what the unconscious already knows.

Built By Someone Who Needed It
Shadow OS wasn't built by a meditation guru or a tech company chasing a trend. It was built by someone who spent years stuck in the same loop. Weighing every option, researching every angle, asking everyone around, and still not making a move.
Career moves that should've taken weeks took months. Relationships that needed a clear answer got buried under "maybe" and "let me think about it." It was never a lack of information. It was not knowing how to commit when you can't see the full picture.
The I Ching changed that. Not because it was mystical. Because it gave one answer, not ten. You ask. You get a directive. No hedging, no "it depends," no twelve paragraphs you can twist to mean whatever you want.
Our founder started in traditional business, then made the jump to startups chasing the version of work that actually felt like it mattered. Every transition reinforced the same thing: the people who move forward are the ones who decide, not the ones who wait for the perfect moment. Eventually, building something from scratch was the only move that made sense. Something rooted in the same framework that helped break the overthinking cycle for good.
